Logic Parlor — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 September 2026
Logic Parlor: Logic Puzzles (“Logic Parlor”, “the app”) is a puzzle game for iPhone, iPad and Android made by Sanora Technologies (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app handles, where it goes, and the choices you have.
The short version: there is no account, and we do not collect your name, email, contacts or precise location. Your puzzle progress stays on your device. The app is free and shows ads through Google AdMob, and uses Google Firebase to understand how the app is used and to fix crashes. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first, you can change your mind any time in Settings › Privacy choices, and the app works fully if you say no.
1. Who is responsible
Sanora Technologies, based in India, is responsible for the information handled by Logic Parlor (the “controller” under data protection law). You can reach us at [email protected]. Google acts as an independent controller for the data its advertising services collect, and as our processor for Firebase.
2. Information stored only on your device
The app keeps the following in a private database on your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else:
- Your marks on each puzzle, the clues you crossed off, solve times, hints used and whether you finished.
- Your daily puzzle streak and statistics, which are calculated from that progress.
- Your settings, such as text size, appearance, input mode, haptics and reminder time.
Uninstalling the app deletes this information. It may be included in your device’s own backups (for example iCloud or Google backup), which are controlled by you and Apple or Google, not by us.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Logic Parlor is free because it shows ads, provided by Google AdMob. Ads never appear on the puzzle screen and never interrupt a puzzle. Rewarded video ads play only when you choose to watch one, for example for an extra hint.
To show and measure ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and prevent ad fraud, AdMob and the ad partners it works with may collect information from your device, including:
- a device advertising identifier (on iPhone and iPad only if you allow tracking; on Android, your Android advertising ID, which you can reset or delete in your device settings);
- your IP address, from which an approximate location (such as country or region) may be inferred;
- device and app information, such as device model, operating system, app version and language;
- ad interactions, such as which ads were shown or tapped.
Your choices:
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: before any ads load, the app shows Google’s consent form, which lists the ad technology providers involved, so you can choose whether ads may be personalised and whether information may be stored on or read from your device. If you do not consent, you may see non-personalised or limited ads that use only what is needed to show an ad and prevent fraud.
- United States: where your state’s law gives you the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising, the app offers that opt-out, and Google then limits how it uses your information.
- Everywhere: you can review or change these choices at any time under Settings › Privacy choices in the app.
- iPhone and iPad tracking: after you have played a couple of puzzles, the app explains why it asks, then shows Apple’s “Allow tracking” question. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, your advertising identifier is not shared and ads are not personalised with it. The app works exactly the same either way.
- Android: you can opt out of ads personalisation or delete your advertising ID in your device’s Google settings.
We ask AdMob not to show ads in sensitive categories including gambling, dating, sexual content and alcohol. Google processes ad data under its own policies: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
4. App analytics, crash reports and settings (Google Firebase)
We use Google Firebase to understand how Logic Parlor is used and to keep it working well:
- Firebase Analytics records app events such as a puzzle being started, finished or left unfinished, its difficulty, how long it took, hints used, text size changes and whether a result was shared. It uses a random app-instance identifier, not your name or contact details. We use it, for example, to tell whether puzzles are too hard. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it is switched on only if you consent in the consent form.
- Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports: the state of the app when it crashed, device model, operating system and app version, and a random installation identifier. It does not use advertising identifiers.
- Firebase Remote Config lets us adjust settings such as how often ads may appear, without an app update. It receives a random installation identifier and basic device information.
Firebase is provided by Google: Privacy and Security in Firebase. We do not use this information to identify you, and we do not combine it with advertising data.
5. Summary of data use
| Data | Used for | Shared with | Linked to you? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Puzzle progress, stats, settings | Playing the game | Nobody (stays on device) | No |
| Advertising identifier (with permission), IP address, device info, ad interactions | Showing and measuring ads, frequency capping, fraud prevention | Google AdMob and its ad partners | Not by us |
| App usage events, app-instance ID, device info | Analytics, improving puzzles | Google Firebase | No |
| Crash logs, device info | Fixing crashes | Google Firebase Crashlytics | No |
6. Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
- Personalised ads, storing or reading information on your device for ads, and analytics: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings › Privacy choices.
- Non-personalised or limited ads: our legitimate interest in funding a free app, limited to what is needed to show ads and prevent fraud, and your consent where the law requires it for device storage.
- Crash reports and Remote Config: our legitimate interest in keeping the app working, secure and well tuned. You can object by contacting us.
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.
7. International transfers
Google may process the information described above in the United States and other countries where it or its partners operate. Where information from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland is transferred, Google relies on safeguards recognised by data protection law, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions.
8. Daily reminder notifications
If you turn on the daily puzzle reminder, the app asks for permission to send notifications and then schedules the reminder on your device. No server is involved and no notification token is sent to us. You can turn the reminder off in the app’s settings or in your device settings.
9. Sharing your result
When you tap Share, the app creates an image and a line of text (for example “Logic Parlor · Sep 29 · Medium · 8:42”) on your device and passes them to your device’s share sheet. We do not receive anything you share. Shared results never include the puzzle’s clues or solution.
10. What we do not do
- We do not require an account or ask for your name, email or phone number.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, camera or precise location.
- We do not sell personal information for money. Personalised advertising can count as “selling” or “sharing” under some US state laws, and you can opt out of it as described in Section 3.
- We do not run our own server that receives your game data. The app works fully offline.
11. Retention
- On-device data: kept until you delete the app.
- Firebase Analytics: event data is kept for up to 14 months, then deleted automatically.
- Crashlytics: crash reports are kept for up to 90 days.
- Advertising data: retained by Google and its partners under their own policies.
12. Security
Information sent to Google’s services is encrypted in transit. Game data on your device stays in the app’s private storage, which other apps cannot read. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we keep what leaves your device to the minimum described in this policy.
13. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or US state privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Because we do not know who you are, the quickest controls are in your hands:
- change your ad and analytics choices in Settings › Privacy choices;
- on iPhone and iPad, turn off tracking for Logic Parlor in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking;
- on Android, reset or delete your advertising ID;
- delete the app, which removes all on-device data.
You can also email us (Section 16) and we will help and respond within one month, or within 45 days where US state law applies. For data held by Google, you can also use Google’s privacy tools. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
14. Children
Logic Parlor is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age for consent in your country. We tell our ad provider that the app is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will help remove it.
15. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if the app changes how it handles information, for example before adding any online feature such as a leaderboard. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest version, and significant changes will be noted in the app or on this page.
